My name is Wanda Large. I have been teaching at Southern Elementary for 10 years. I have my Master's Degree from Eastern Kentucky University and my Rank 1 in general education. I currently teach Math for the third grade. I love math and enjoy being able to teach something I enjoy. In the past, I have served on the Site Base Council for 4 years. Also, I have served as Cluster Leader for our school, which deals with our writing and the writing portfolios. I have been a fourth grade grade representative for many years, too.
Here's a little about myself. I have lived in Somerset since I was four years old. We moved here fom Pennsylvania. I am married to a wonderful guy named Jim. He works in construction. I have two great kids, Jonathan and Jamie. Jonathan is in his third year of college at Western Kentucky University . Jamie will be a senior at Southwestern High School. Both of my children attended Southern Elementary. In addtion to my human family, I have a few pets. I have my little fat dog, Cookie. She was a drop off that we found during a snowstorm when she was eight weeks old. Our cats' names are Gracie and Ears. Oh yes, I have a turtle. His name is Ninja. He is 15 years old to our best estimate. There is a lot more I could tell you but I would probably bore you. Oh, well.
