Welcome to Mrs. Venable's webpage! I love teaching Kindergarten because I enjoy seeing the progress that young children make in their first year of school.
Each week we will focus on many reading skills and work with our Harcourt reading materials. We will be learning lots of "instant words" this school year, so be looking for more information about that in the coming weeks. They are called "instant words" because the children have to "see the word" and read the word "instantly".
It is very important that your child work at home as well as at school. The school and parents must become partners in your child's learning. Remember...You are your child's first teacher.
