Hello! My name is Tracy Rice. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching at Shopville for ten years. This is my eleventh year. This will be my seventh year teaching second grade. This is a very important year because they are developing into fluent readers.

Hello everyone!
This week (Mar. 8-12, 2010) in Reading we will be reading the story "Good-bye Curtis." Our spelling words this week are contractions. Be sure to remember that a contraction is a short way of writing two words. They must have an apostrophe.
Vocabulary:
1. addresses - where buisnesses or homes are found
2. clerk - a salesperson in a store
3. grown - to increase in size or age
4. honor - show of respect and love
5. pour - to move somewhere quickly and in large numbers
6. route - a series of places or customers visited regularly by a person who delivers or sells something
In math we will be continue to work on Unit 8. We are learning about Fractions.
