Hello! My name is Suzanne McWilliams and this is my second year here at Eubank Elementary. I teach 5th grade Social Studies and Arts & Humanities. Fifth grade is an exciting and challenging time for students. It is their last year at the elementary level. We work hard to make sure that each student is prepared to transition to the middle school by the end of fifth grade.
We have several important dates coming up. Our Frankfort field trip will be Friday, April 18. We will need to leave school by 8:00, so the students need to be here before that time if they are eating breakfast at school. We will be visiting the Capital Building, the old Capital Building, the KY History Center, the Vietnam Veteran Memorial, and the Salato Wildlife Center. We will be returning to school at 5:00 pm, so please make arrangements to pick up your child at that time. We also ask that all students wear a red t-shirt and tennis shoes that day because we will be doing a lot of walking. It will be an exciting trip!
We also have the CATS Assessment April 21- May 2. It is very important that the students get plenty of rest each night and eat a good breakfast every day. I know the students are going to do great! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me any time during the students' specials (8:30-9:10).
