Hello. My name is Sheila Luttrell. I have been married for 18 years to my husband Neil and I have two beautiful children, Skyler, 11 and Savana, 6.
I am the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) here at Oak Hill. I have worked in the school setting since September 1993. I started out working as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant and then I received my Masters of Science in Communication Disorders in 2002 and Rank 1 in Communication Disorders in 2003.
Besides the school setting, I have worked with First Steps (ages 0-3) and in the home health setting with children and adults as well.
As a SLP, I work with children and adults who exhibit speech sound errors, expressive/receptive language delays, voice disorders, and fluency (stuttering) disorders. This includes: Autism, Downs Syndrome, Developmental Delay, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke victims and other disorders.
I enjoy my job greatly. Each day is a new challenge. There is nothing like seeing the smile on a child's face after they have accomplished a task for the very first time. I feel very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school. The staff, students and parents are all a great group of people to work with.
If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding your child, please feel free stop by and see me or call me. I am at Oak Hill full time.
