My name is Shirley Jo Cooper. I am a native Pulaski Countian and have been teaching at Pulaski Elementary School for the past 26 years. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in 1979, completed a Master's Degree in 1983 and a Rank 1 in 1998. All of my teaching experience has been in the field of Special Education, until this school year. I am very excited to be a part of our Fast ForWord program as a program Coach. Fast ForWord software helps build foundation skills which are crucial to the development of language and ultimately reading. Our Fast ForWord program was purchased through a state grant. Currently, 112 students are participating in the program. The products we currently use are Reading Prep, Language, Language to Reading, Reading 1, Reading 2, and Reading 3. Each student will go through two products per year.



  • 8:00-9:00 3rd Grade
  • 9:00-10:00 1st Grade
  • 10:00-11:00 2nd Grade
  • 1:00-2:00 2nd Grade
  • 2:00-3:00 1st Grade
  • 3:00-4:00 After School (Mix Group)
