Welcome to Leadership, Education and Training 1. My name is Sergeant First Class Stanley Andrews. I am retired from the United States Army after 23 years of service. I have been teaching JROTC for 18 Years. I taught in Dayton Ohio at Colonel White High School for 13 Years and have been at Pulaski County High School for 5 years.

Course Syllabus
As a JROTC cadet you are embarking on one of the most interesting and valuable educational experience of your high school career. In JROTC you will be given the chance to participate in your education and will learn to be a better citizen. The program provides you with tools and skills you can use to be successful in high school, but far more important, these tools and skills will be useful for the remainder of your life.
You will learn to:
Appreciate the ethical values that underline good citizenship. Citizenship, taught through a study on history and government, demonstrates the importance of commitment and strengthens your character and resolve as you grow. You will learn to make ethnical decisions based on core values.
Develop potential and learn to live and work cooperatively with others.
Think Logically and communicate effectivly both orally and in writing.
Appreciate the importance of physical fitness in maintaining good health.
Understand ways to resist negative peer preasure and suppot others.
Develop mental management abilities.
Become familiar with military history as it relates to America's culture and with the history, porpose and structure of the military services.
Understand the importance of high school graduation to a successful future.
Learn about college and other advanced educational and employment opportunities, and develop the skills necessary to work effectively as a member of a team.
We will cover a number of units in this course in general as JROTC is a building block program that allows the cadet to advance and grow throughout their time in high school. JROTC has four levels of education that will in the end produce a well rounded student and citizen.

Grading system
A=90-100
B=80-89
C=70-79
D=60=69
F=59 and below
Uniform Inspection is a two part grade. The uniform will be inspected and that score is worth Maximun 100 pts.
The second grade is verbal quiz of four questions each being worth 25 pt for a total of too pts....Overall maximun unifrom inspection score is 200pts.
Uniforms are to be warn every thursday unless told otherwise. If your cadet is not in uniform on thursdays you should be asking them why they are not wearing it to school.
We will begin passing out uniforms next week and I will let you know when the first day for uniforms will be.
If you have questions about anything we are doing please call me at 677-0367 in school or 676-9868 at home in the evenings or on weekends and leave a message if I am not at home.
- Drill practice will resume thursday jan 4 08 from 3;30 to 5;30, Monday , tuesday and thursday.
