Math Grades:
In Math class, student grades come from weekly journal assignments, daily homework assignments, and unit test grades. Look for Homelinks Monday-Thursday nights. Students can also earn 5 bonus points by completing a study guide before each unit test.
Discipline System:
Throughout each month, students work to earn tickets to a reward "party" at the end of each month. The amount of tickets they must earn depends on the number of school days in that month. Students earn tickets by coming to school, completing assignments, scoring well on tests or other assignments, and using our successmaker math program. Students also can lose tickets for poor behavior, not having assignments when they are due, excessive use of the bathroom during instruction, using an inappropriate voice level, or other reasons at the teacher's discretion.
It is possible for ALL students to earn the reward party, however, students are responsible for keeping up with their own tickets. Each week I put their tickets into a "bank." Once tickets are banked, they cannot be lost or stolen.
