Welcome! My name is Paula Hudson. I have 12 years teaching experience with the Pulaski County School System. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1991 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K- 4th grades with an endorsement in 5th - 8th grades. I completed my first Masters Degree in Library Sciences in 2001. I also have a second Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership completed in 2005.
I have a husband and three children of my own, therefore I value family time. I also value compassion for other human beings, respect and responsibility, honesty at all times, and good, old fashioned manners. I believe that we should have high expectations for children. Most of all I feel that we should love the children placed in our care, whether they are your own children or the ones that pass through your lives on a daily basis.
This year in the "Reading Room" I will be assisting the regular classroom teachers by working with small groups of students to motivate and teach reading skills. I love to read! My desire is to teach children to love reading as well. Some of my favorite books are I'll Love You Forever, Where the Sidewalk Ends and all the SkippyJon Jones books. What is your favorite book?
