My name is Pam Davis. This is my second year teaching full time at Burnside Elementary. I am honored to be your childs teacher this year. It is my goal to make sure every child excels. Second grade is a year of growth for students. We will be building on the skills students learned in first grade, getting them ready for third grade.

Our reading series, Reading Street by Scott Foresman, includes a wide variety of genres. It also integrates science and socal studies. This year, we will focus more on science and social studies.

Our Breakthrough to Literacy program also focuses on a wide variety of genres too. Students also have an opportunity to earn Accelerated Reader points for reading, so please encourage your child to read, read, read!! There is a link to a list of AR books on our school's website.
