Hello, my name is Melanie Gover. I have been teaching for seven years, but this is my first year teaching 4th grade. I am a graduate of Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY. My family and I live right down the road from school. We love this community. My husband Brad is also a teacher at Southwestern High School. Eva, my daughter, is turning five and Eli is 1. They keep me very busy, but I love every minute of it. Normally, if you wanted to find me after school you would have to look in the gym. I spent 3 exciting years as the SWHS cheer coach. Even though I'm not coaching now I still love to cheer on the Warriors!
I am very excited to be working with the 4th graders and helping them develope their portfolios. I want my students to have a wonderful school experience while they're with me. I try to have lots of fun and throw in tons of learning while we're at it. I try to make each school year one they'll never forget.
