My name is Margaret Eversole. This is my first year teaching, however I have many years of experience working as a Para-Educator. I believe that all students can learn. This school year has just begun and I can already see the progress that my students are making. In our classroom we are doing many exciting things. We spend 3 hours every morning working on Reading/Language Art skills. This block of time allows for whole group instruction, small group instruction, and literacy centers. Each students gets at least 15 minutes of individualize instruction on BreakThrough (an excellent computer literacy program). I also intergrate Science and Social Studies in our reading series or in our Break Through Featured book weekly. Our class uses Everyday Math, which uses a hands-on approach to learning. Every afternoon our class goes to the computer lab for Success Maker (computer math program that allows each student to work on their level). Success Maker provides reinformcent for essential mathematical skills.
