Dear Parents and Students,
I am very pleased to provide guidance counseling services at Burnside Elementary. I am married to Sam Burton and we have two children, Allison and Logan.
This is my 27th year as an educator. I am dedicated to providing the students with the best possible guidance program. The program I provide is designed to positively impact students' self-esteem through intervention and prevention services. I meet with the students every week in whole classroom guidance sesions. I am enthusiastic about bringing information to help the students realize the obstacles they may face as well as the positive difference they can make in our world. The classes provide students with information about dealing with real life concerns. The Practical Living and Vocational studies area of studies is the main content of the guidance program.
Individual and small group sessions are also available as needed.
I am also the 504 Plan, Building Assessment, Career Day and Awards Day coordinator.
