WELCOME TO MY MATH CLASS!

This year I will strive to instill a love of math in all 4th grade students. Mathematics today is not like what we adults grew up with years ago. While I will have students work on basic computation skills throughout the year, my primary focus will be that students become problem-solvers who can think critically in any situation.

In math class students will be graded on unit test performance approximately once every 2 weeks. Once or twice weekly, students will recieve a grade on an in class assignment. Students will be assigned a "Study Link" each evening as designated by our math program and will recieve a daily participation grade for completed homework pages.

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE:
Some Study Links will be more challenging than others but do not stress about it! The purpose of the homework is to encourage extra practice and to keep you informed about what your child is working on at school. Complete what you can, in the way you know best-everyone solves math problems differently and that is just fine!
