Welcome!
My name is Jo Lisa Way and this is my 24th year at Eubank Elementary! I am the Mathematics Intervention Teacher, or MIT. I call my program "Math Mania." I love my job as MIT and have seen lots of progress with my students since the program began last year. I serve students in grades K-3. I have small group classes with K-3 every day AND also serve some students on an individual basis.
I am now working on a Specialist Certification in Math Recovery, which is an intervention program for 1st graders. It is very exciting and I hope to see even more results with the addition of this new program to my curriculum.
I am also working with our teachers to pass along some of the things I am learning in my own training. In this way, I can serve ALL of the students in grades K-3, either by seeing them in a group, individually, or in collaboration with their homeroom teacher. I can't wait to see how we progress as the year goes along!
If you have any questions about my programs or what we do in "Math Mania" please feel free to call or drop by. My planning time is 1:15-2:00. I look forward to hearing from you!
God Bless,
Jo Lisa Way
