Hello, My name is Jeremy Cole, and I am the Choir and Vocal Ensemble Director at Pulaski County High School. In addition to Choir, I also teach Arts & Humanities, Music Theory, and Yearbook courses. I enjoy working with extracurricular and student government activities, currently I am the Student Government advisor and the Prom Advisor. This is my 10th year teaching at Pulaski County High School. I am married to Danielle Barker Cole, who teaches 3rd grade at Pulaski Elementary School, and we have a 7 year old daughter, Shelby.

The Course
This course will study the Arts & Humanities. Our time in class will be spent on art, music, literature, drama and dance. We will discuss the major time periods of each category and learn the important people involved with each area. We will view, listen and watch important works of each area that we study. Hopefully, this class will help you understand the importance of the arts and how history has played a role in the arts.

Course Objectives
1.TSW understand historical time periods and how they relate to the arts.
2.TSW understand how different artistic disciplines are tied together.
3.TSW understand the differences in cultures.
4.TSW understand how cultures are tied together.
5.TSW learn about important people in the history of the arts.
6.TSW discover important works of art.

Attendance Policy
The Arts & Humanities attendance policy is the same as the PCHS policy in your agenda book.

Make-Up Work
The student is responsible for make-up work. If you miss a day(s), it is your responsibility to ask for make-up work.

*Exams will be given at the end of every time period. An exam may consist of a written exam, oral exam, speech or project.

*Pop Quizzes will be given, expect them.

*Journals MUST be kept throughout the semester.

*Notebooks must contain everything form the whole semester(journal entries, homework, exams, handouts and lecture notes)

*Arts & Humanities is a class about experience. Opportunities will arise to participate in field trips and other out of class projects. Attitude and behavior of the class will determine the topic and frequency of the trips.
