About Me:
This is my second year teaching 5th Grade Reading at Burnside and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! I am very excited to begin the school year and am very blessed to work with great colleagues and students.
About My Class:
I teach Reading to all fifth grade students. Each week, we read a different story and focus on different strategies and skills to make us deeper readers. I also teach Science to my homeroom class three days a week.
I chose this career because I love watching students learn. Each day, I see their understanding deepen, and its a wonder to observe. I am very thankful to be a such a wonderful school with students who give nothing short of their best.

To teach you in a way that you understand

To clear up any confusion you may have
To allow you to learn in a clean, neat, and safe environment.
What I expect from my students:
To treat EVERYONE with respect and fairness.
To come to class prepared and ready to learn.
To follow directions the first time they are given.
To ask me when they need clarification.
To keep our classroom environment neat and clean.
