Hello,
I'm Mr. Barron and I'd like to welcome you to my Agriculture homepage. This year I have the following teaching schedule:
1st period: Planning
2nd period: Lutherie Construction
3rd period: Lutherie Construction
4th period: Ag. Structures & Design
5th Period: Construction Skills
6th period: Forestry
7th period: Principles of Agriscience
This is my twenty-fifth year in the teaching profession. I enjoy teaching Agriculture very much. It is fun to see young students gain skills, knowledge, and confidence in their abilities. In Agricultural Education classes, much emphasis is placed on hands-on, performance skills as well as leadership development.
I would like to encourage all students in Agriculture classes to join our student organization, FFA. It is through the FFA contests and activities that students get to practice and hone those skills taught in the classroom.
CLASS FEE: A fee is charged in all Agriculture classes to cover the cost of materials that the students will consume during the course of the school year. The class fee is $15.00 per class. For example, a student who is enrolled in a two-hour class would pay $30.
NOTEBOOK: We use a special notebook to keep class assignments, notes, and SAE Records. Students need only one notebook regardless of the number of agriculture classes they have. Notebooks are $4.00.
FFA DUES: FFA dues are optional, but I highly recommend that you join this wonderful student organization. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA dues are $17.00
