Hi! My name is Christina Ross. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Kindergarten. I completed my Master's degree in Leadership and just finished completing my Rank I in Reading and Writing Specialty Certification. This is my seventh year teaching kindergarten at Southern Elementary. I LOVE teaching kindergarten!! Kindergarten is such an important time in a student's life, they are forming their opinion of school. This is were student's meet their best friends and develop a love for learning and reading!

Also, check out the "Links" tab for helpful internet links to use at home! You will find a list of High Frequency words, that your child should be able to read by the end of the school year! Under the "Syllabus" tab you will find a list of skills your child will be working on throughout the year. Please utilize this information to help your child at home as much as possible. YOU are your child's first and best teacher!
