I have been teaching at Northern Middle School for four years. I have taught both regular education and collaboration special education. It is my goal to help prepare students for high school and beyond. They have many opportunities before them and I want them to be prepared to meet the demands of those opportunities: academically, socially and emotionally.
I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Middle School Language Arts and Special Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I recently earned my master's degree in Special Education for children with Learning or Behavior Disorders at Campbellsville University.
I currently live in Somerset with my husband, Steve and my two children Sam and Candice. My husband is an evangelist with an emphasis in children's ministries. We travel to many different cities during the summer presenting the "good news" of Jesus. My son and my daughter are both in college. My son is studying computers and my daughter is studying music. We also have one dog, one cat, two rabbits, and eight doves and one blue-gold macaw.
