My name is Byron Melton and I am a Guidance Counselor here at Southern Middle School. I feel that counseling matures the decision-making process and promotes student self-direction. This process is facilitated through:
development of appropriate academic goals
resolution of personal issues affecting programs of study
referral to educational and personal growth resources.
The Guidance office demonstrates our commitment to these endeavors through:
