In third grade we are learning and growing so much. We have many more responsibilities such as homework folders. We will be learning a lot of exciting and important skills such as multiplication, decimals, communities, and ecosystems. Through our Scott Foresman and Breakthrough programs in reading we focus on different genres such as expository nonfiction, poetry, and historical fiction.
We have been working very hard to attain our AR goal for the year (75pts.). Parents please encourage your child to read AR books and other types of books at home!
I believe that with a strong behavior/discipline system in progress we will be free to achieve higher and truly reach for the stars. The last school day every month we will have a store where the students may buy items with their champ dollars. This award system will also build real-life consumer skills, while encouraging and rewarding positive behavior.
