I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your childs teacher this year. This is my sixth year at BES teaching 5th grade, and I am very excited about this upcoming year.
I am originally from Campbellsville, KY. I have been married for four years and have a 3 year-old daughter. I received my Bachelors degree from Washington University in St. Louis and teaching certification from Campbellsville University. I love to travel and share my experiences with the students. My travels have taken me to Kenya, Dominican Republic, and almost all 50 states!
I think uncovering math mysteries can be challenging and fascinating! In my math class I strive to make new math skills as simple and interesting as finding a new friend. I truly believe that students can learn to love math and use it well no matter how young they are!
I truly believe that your child will learn and be successful this year. I will be communicating with you weekly through a newsletter about classroom activities and things your child will be learning about.
