Hi! My name is Angela Blevins and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for Eubank Elementary. I have been an SLP for over 12 years. I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1994 with a Bachelors degree and also in 1997 with a Masters degree. I currently hold state licensure and national certification. Prior to working in the schools, I worked in the home health and hospital settings. I am currently in my 8th year at Eubank and love being part of such a great school!
There are many areas that an SLP can screen, evaluate or provide therapy for: articulation ( production of speech), voice, fluency (stuttering), expressive/receptive language (comprehension, vocabulary, etc.)auditory processing, phonological awareness, augmentative communication systems, oral-motor, and even swallowing disorders. We also screen hearing for students each year when needed.
I currently live in Eubank with my husband Randy and our three wonderful children: Mason-13, Allie-10, and Rachel-7.
